I'm Franco Jonker, a BSc-qualified maths and science tutor based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape. I work with students from Grade 8 through to first-year university level, and I teach in both English and Afrikaans — whichever helps you understand the work better.

Whether you're following the CAPS curriculum at a government school or the IEB programme at an independent school, I know the content, the mark allocation, and the exam technique that gets results. Sessions are one-on-one: no group classes, no distractions, just focused work on exactly what you need.

Every lesson is in person, at your home. I drive to you from Lorraine — free in my own corner of Gqeberha, and a small fee per visit further out. The table below says exactly what that costs.

I drive to you from Lorraine. The fee is charged once per visit, not per hour, and it depends only on how far the drive is — so a two-hour lesson costs less per hour than a one-hour lesson at the same address.

Not on the list? Ask me anyway. If the drive works, I will say so, and if it does not I will tell you that too rather than take the booking and arrive late.
